Accreditations & Guarantees
Leading Environmental Service
Our company holds industry accreditations to ensure top-quality environmental services. The „von Bohlen und Halbach“ family is considered one of the most important dynasties in global industrial history. The leading and advisory personalities around our company guarantee the success of every project phase. The „Instituto Climatico von Bohlen und Halbach“, Brazil, is regarded as a leading link between politics, industry and leading aid and climate organisations in order to achieve the goal of sustainable and effective climate protection. The aim of the „Instituto Climatico von Bohlen und Halbach“ is to explore the balance between economic interests and effective climate protection and to ensure that greenwashing and carbon leakage are a thing of the past. As a member of the Air Carbon Exchange (ACX), Abu Dhabi, UAE, we also offer our customers access to the entire spectrum of handling and dealing with carbon credits.
Against Carbon Leakage
Carbon leakage refers to the phenomenon where stringent climate protection measures in one country cause companies to move their production to countries with less strict environmental regulations. This can lead to an increase in global greenhouse gas emissions, as production often takes place in less efficient facilities. Carbon leakage thus undermines global efforts to reduce CO2 emissions. Become part of our measures and benefit from an enhanced public image.
Against Carbon Leakage
Sustainable climate protection is characterized by measures that promote the long-term reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, conserve natural resources, and balance social justice with economic development.
High standards for our measures and
a high degree of control guarantee our customers optimum framework conditions. This is the decisive difference and speaks in favour of our measures for sustainable climate protection.
Legal Certainty
All climate projects are located in a concessionary manner on state-owned land, which has been closed to any form of urbanization. This also applies to climate-intensive agriculture or the granting of mining rights. Under these conditions, our co-operative guarantees an extremely high degree of legal security for the industry in harmony with flora and fauna, for the benefit of the entire world population. Our clients are guided through the entire process by specialised lawyers.

CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) is the first global market-based measure developed for any sector, representing a coordinated multilateral approach that moves away from a fragmented "patchwork" of national or regional regulatory measures. It provides a harmonized mechanism to reduce CO2 emissions from international aviation, minimizing market distortions while acknowledging the special circumstances and respective capabilities of ICAO Member States.
CORSIA complements other elements of ICAO's basket of measures by addressing residual emissions—those that cannot be eliminated through technological advancements, operational improvements, or the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF)—through the use of eligible carbon credits. These credits are sourced from verified emissions reduction units in accordance with standards recognized by ICAO.
The scheme is implemented in three phases: Pilot Phase (2021-2023) - voluntary participation; First Phase (2024-2026) - voluntary participation; Second Phase (2027-2035) - mandatory participation for all States with individual airline operators that exceed the threshold of 0.5% of global RTK (Revenue Tonne Kilometres), based on 2018 data. VON BOHLEN & HALBACH CIE. FZ LLC offers tailored solutions and long-term climate partnerships to international airlines seeking to comply with the offsetting obligations arising from the mandatory CORSIA phase starting on 1 January 2027.
These solutions are equally available to airlines participating voluntarily in the current implementation phases up to the end of the 2026 compliance cycle.
Our company develops jurisdictional climate projects structured as public-private partnerships with several Brazilian federal states. These projects are aligned with the stringent eligibility criteria of ICAO's CORSIA framework and are either registered under the American Carbon Registry (ACR) or ART (Architecture for REDD+ Transactions), both of which are currently approved by ICAO.
Airlines engaging in climate partnerships with VON BOHLEN & HALBACH CIE. FZ LLC benefit from: long-term price stability through forward pricing structures, secured supply volumes to meet annual compliance obligations, access to high-quality, CORSIA-eligible credits with full traceability, and alignment with the international regulatory environment established under ICAO. VON BOHLEN & HALBACH CIE. FZ LLC is currently establishing the necessary jurisdictional framework in cooperation with the INSTITUTO CLIMATICO VON BOHLEN & HALBACH in the Brazilian federal states of Paraíba, Santa Catarina, and Mato Grosso do Sul, and is fully financing the development costs. Additional states within the Federative Republic of Brazil are currently under negotiation and are expected to enter into contractual relationships with the VON BOHLEN & HALBACH group in the near future. These advantages ensure planning security and regulatory compliance as the aviation sector transitions into the mandatory compliance regime under CORSIA from 2027 onward.
